The article reports on a study conducted by the National Office of Statistics in 2008 in Algerian. It reveals 40.6 percent of employed received their job through family members or acquaintances. These indicated the failure of the government to regulate the job market through creating job. It is claimed that the results negated a statement by Tayeba Louha, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, who said no more than 12 percent of jobs were acquired through the old practices.
