In spite of the development of management practices in the worldwide to find the way into reducing and control of water pollution, very little known about the effectiveness of this process in Libya. The recent increase in water pollution in Benghazi creates an urgent need for management and care of unclean and unsafe waterways. The purpose of this research study is to examine the perception of sewage and industrial waste and whether residents believe their may be risk factors for health concerns in Benghazi, Libya. Consequently, it could improve environmental performance, which compels corporations to reduce pollution at its source by creating the urgent need to manage and care for unclean and unsafe waterways. The research design for this study was the quantitative method, using questionnaires and secondary data to complete this study. This study examined the perceptions of independent variables (sewage and industrial waste) and dependent variables (water pollution). The researchers' survey included one null hypothesis and two alternative hypotheses. The hypotheses for this research were looked at the relationship between independent variables and a dependent variable. This research shed light on the role of sewage and industrial waste in order to determine if participants believed that changes management practices would reduce water pollution. Thus, the study was attempted to answer the general question, "Due to industrial economic activity and lack of awareness of how it affects water pollution, will people of Benghazi that have been exposed to water pollution have a perception that their at risk for health concerns?" Based on the findings of the data used, the researcher could conclude that there were significant relationships between sewage, industrial waste and water pollution. This study also recommends that further studies be conducted to improve environmental management practices as they relate to reducing water pollution.
