Rethinking the Limits Benmalek and Mokeddem's vision of twentieth-century Algeria [Ressource électronique] :
A literary criticism of the books "The Lovers of Algeria," by Anouar Benmalek and "The Forbidden Woman," by Malika Mokeddem is presented. It presents the views of the authors on the limitations that separate France from Algeria in the colonial period. Both the novels show transgression and opposition to social and cultural boundaries with the love that binds the individuals despite of gender and racial differences. Both writers protest against traditional limitations that separate individuals.
