"This volume collects the select proceedings of papers delivered at two conferences held in Copenhagen and New York in 2018 and 2019, respectively, both organized by an international collaboration called Scientific Papyri from Ancient Egypt (SciPap), a project established in 2017 to facilitate the publication of the wealth of scientific texts in the Papyrus Carlsberg Collection and to support the advanced training of a early career scholars in papyrology. The contributions in this interdisciplinary volume center around the ancient sciences of medicine, astronomy, astrology, and other types of divination. Several contributions in the volume present overviews of still unpublished textual sources or text editions of new source material.
