_aStalemate in Western Sahara : _bending international legality _h[Ressource électronique] |
520 | _aThe article discusses the conflict in Western Sahara resulting in violation of the International Law. The conflict in this region has attracted attentions for so many reasons. Factors such as national, geopolitical, and economic interest have drawn even other countries to intervene in the situation. The dispute in Western Sahara reflects the failure of UN to implement International Law. This is seen through the violation of the organization's most powerful members in the Security Council. Western Sahara has been granted to Morocco as reward to its cooperation to the U.S. Despite the grant, International Law does not recognize the transfer of the land to Morocco as it still belongs to the Spanish Administrative control. | ||
